Our DPF Cleaning Services
What is a diesel particulate filter?
We offer professional cleaning services for all types of diesel vehicles, including cars, vans.
Here’s what we do:
- 1
DPF Diagnostics
We’ll diagnose your DPF issues to determine if cleaning is sufficient or if repair or replacement is required. Using our industry knowledge and familiarity with working on diesel vehicles we can guide you efficiently as to the next course of action. Our diagnostic equipment is updated constantly to ensure we always give the best advice.
- 2
Throttle body cleaning
After the diagnostic phase has been carried out, to ascertain the precise nature of the fault, we will typically offer the cleaning of the throttle body if this is showing at fault. The vehicle’s throttle body regulates the amount of air entering the engine, which is necessary for the DPF to regenerate and function properly. Using specialist cleaning solutions, we will aim to rectify this fault, after which we will run a thorough diagnostics check to ensure optimum performance of vehicle has been maintained. Throttle body service involves cleaning the throttle blade and bore. Because the throttle is responsible for managing the airflow, any carbon or debris in the body can decrease power and acceleration. After cleaning, the engine should run smoother and cleaner

DPF Cleaning – Regeneration
Running a diagnostic check, we will identify if the DPF is blocked or partially blocked, even if the Engine Management Light (EML) is not illuminated, there will in most cases be a dedicated DPF warning light, sometime amber in colour, to warn you of a potemntial fault. In these cases, we can run the engine at sufficiently high temperature along with our cleaning machine attached to you vehicle to force the regeneration function. It often requires driving the vehicle for an extended period, following Manufacturer guidelines. Although time consuming this repair is the preferred method from all industry experts.
- 4
DPF Removal and Cleaning
Occasionally, when the DPF is so blocked it will not clear using normal procedures, in these events we will need to fully remove the DPF from your vehicle’s exhaust system. Then we undertake a manual process to flush the diesel particulate filter system through, using specialist cleaning equipment. This is the last repair option before offering a DPF replacement.

How DPF Cleaning Works and why Is DPF Cleaning Important?
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) plays a crucial role in reducing harmful emissions from diesel engines. Over time, the DPF collects soot particles, which can eventually cause it to become clogged. If left untreated, a clogged DPF can lead to poor engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and costly repairs.
Our DPF Cleaning Process
- 1
Inspection
We start by conducting a comprehensive diagnostic check, identifying the issue and assess the condition of your DPF.
- 2
Cleaning
We use state-of-the-art equipment to clean the DPF. For less severe blockages, we can perform an in-situ regeneration process. In more serious cases, we remove and deep-clean the filter to restore its efficiency.
- 3
Testing & Quality Check
After the cleaning process, we test the DPF to ensure it’s operating as expected. While also looking for any other issues that could affect vehicle performance.
Rest assured, we care for your vehicle and for you.
